The Greatest Blessing, Rory Shieds

I grew up in a Christian home in Colorado. I have always had a loving relationship with the Lord. Right after college my Christian walk came to a crossroad. In the midst of consideration for the future, I remember sitting on the top of a mountain and I cried out to the Lord. I did not want to live a meaningless human life. I loved the Lord and on that day I laid my whole life before Him. I consecrated my future to Him.

I considered either going on a missionary trip or applying to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. Throughout my Christian life, my family and I have been very much helped by the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Their ministry has always stirred up my love for the Lord and opened the Bible so richly. I have never met these two brothers but I consider them as my spiritual fathers. So I decided to go to the Training established by them.

It has been a great blessing and a great mercy that the Lord has brought me to the Training. This has been by far the best two years of my life. And I do not have the words to express the feeling in my heart for these two years. But it has been wonderful being with so many young people who love the Lord and pursue after Him. I have spent two years getting to know the living person of Jesus Christ and allowing His life to grow in me.
